Payak

Inspired from biabak, or frog in Maranao, these creatures are a common sight in Lake Lanao during dawn. As the people of the lake, the Maranaos consider the biabak to symbolize their modest, lake-dwelling culture. Hence, it became a favorite pattern for weavers near the shore.
